Aamir Hussain - EVP and CTO Centurylink


Aamir Hussain leads the Product Development and Technology organization. Hussain is an experienced senior technology executive with more than 23 years of proven success in the implementation of global technology operations, operationalization of complex technology, infrastructures, and business solutions while driving capital cost efficiencies in the business.

Hussain and his team are responsible for design and delivery of next generation products, services and technologies critical to achieving CenturyLink’s strategic growth priorities.

Hussain has a diverse background in data, security, voice, video and wireless technologies. Prior to joining CenturyLink, he held senior leadership roles at Liberty Global, Covad, TELUS and Qwest. Hussain sits on several startup and non-profit boards, is technical advisor to technology companies and holds 11 patents in Telecommunications. In addition, he has completed leadership, innovation and strategy training from Harvard, the INSEAD institute in France and the International School of Business Management in Switzerland.

Ahmed Shah - VP, Strategy, Alliances & Partnerships at Rovi


Ahmed Shah is a technology veteran and has spent his career working in the software, networking and IT industry. Most recently he held the position of Vice President of strategy and partnerships at Rovi Corporations where he shepherded Rovi’s strategic plan in digital entertainment by sourcing and executing strategic partnerships in this space. Prior to that Ahmed was at Neustar where he led their digital information strategy.

Ahmed has spent many years at Cisco where he served in various capacities, including leading Cisco’s internal incubator and starting new businesses for Cisco. Prior to joining Cisco, Ahmed was at McKinsey & Company advising technology companies on business and product strategy. Ahmed has a technology background and has spent time developing and marketing products at companies like Oracle. Ahmed has a Bachelors and Masters in Electrical Engineer and Computer Science from MIT.

Alex Hooshmand - Vice President, Product Management, Oracle Marketing Cloud


Alex leads Oracle Marketing Cloud’s product management teams for B2B Marketing Automation (Eloqua), DMP (BlueKai) and Content Marketing (Compendium). He is the former co-founder and Chief Product Officer of BlueKai before it was acquired by Oracle in 2014.

Alex is passionate about the blending of product, strategy and operational excellence to create value for customers. He joined BlueKai from Right Media (later acquired by Yahoo!), the first and largest online advertising exchange, where he was focused on defining and implementing Right Media’s audience data strategy. Prior to Right Media, Alex worked as Director of Product Management at DoubleClick and as a strategy consultant at Bain & Company. Alex earned a Bachelor of Economics degree from Carnegie Mellon, and a MBA from Wharton.

Alicia Castillo Holley - Member, Sand Hill Angels


Alicia Castillo Holley, an active angel investor, is the founder of the Wealthing® Institute that empowers individuals to use passion and legacy to grow the economy. As a serial entrepreneur, she has started seven companies and two non-profits, successfully exiting four and failing miserably in two. During her stay in Chile, she created the country's first Centre for Entrepreneurship and later the first privately held seed capital fund. A global citizen, Castillo has lived in six countries, and has been a guest lecturer at over 20 institutions in Latin and North America, Eastern and Western Europe, the Middle East, and Asia/Australia. She has published seven books and numerous articles on innovation, entrepreneurship, funding, and wealth creation.

Amir Khan is a 20+ year veteran of the networking industry with a strong track record of driving multi-billion dollar product lines in both enterprise and service provider segments. Prior to Viptela, Amir led the enterprise routing business & product management for MX and M series routers at Juniper. Before Juniper he served as Director of Product Management at Cisco, leading the critical components of IOS like MPLS, routing, QoS and multicast technologies for switching and routing products. Bill Melton - Entrepreneur


Mr. William (Bill) Melton, has been an entrepreneur building global technology companies for more than 30 years. Mr. Melton founded VeriFone Inc. in 1981 serving as its Chief Executive Officer until 1986. In 1990 Mr. Melton was the founding investor of Transaction Network Services (TNSI), delivering leading solutions for the payments, financial and telecommunications industries. In 1991 he became an early investor and board member of AOL. In 1995 he founded Cybercash. In 1999 he founded Global Internet Ventures. He currently serves on the Boards of several privately held technology companies. Mr. Melton holds a Master’s degree in Asian Studies and Chinese Philosophy.

Dilawar Syed - President Freshdesk, Inc.


As President at Freshdesk, Dilawar drives the customer management cloud company’s enterprise sales, marketing, customer success and partnership ecosystem efforts. Freshdesk is backed by Google Capital, Tiger Global and Accel Partners and has raised $94M in funding. With more than 40,000 customers in 140 countries, Freshdesk is amongst the world’s fastest growing cloud companies. Earlier, Dilawar led a multiyear transformation effort as C.E.O at Yonja Media Group. Backed by Tiger Global, Silicon Valley and Istanbul-based company built internet brands in partnerships with Turkey’s leading companies. Prior to his emerging market roles, Dilawar was at Yahoo! where he was head of platform strategy and operations and oversaw investments in next generation web services and infrastructure. Earlier, Dilawar spent several years in enterprise software at SAP and Siebel Systems where Dilawar grew Siebel’s integration platform to a multi-million dollar business. He started his career as a management consultant at Deloitte Consulting and Ernst & Young. Dilawar has played a leadership role in a range of civic efforts globally. He is President of OPEN Global, an entrepreneurship non-profit and is driving the organization’s growth in diaspora networks across the globe. In 2010, President Obama appointed Dilawar to the President’s Advisory Commission on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI). Guneeta Singh Bhalla - Founder & Executive Director, The 1947 Partition Archive


Guneeta is Founder & Executive Director at The 1947 Partition Archive. Previously, she was an experimental condensed matter physicist who recently completed her tenure as a post-doctoral researcher at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and the University of California at Berkeley. She studied quantum confinement at interfaces that include oxide heterostructures and domain walls in multiferroics.

After a 2008 visit to the oral testimony archives at the Hiroshima Peace Memorial she was inspired and began interviewing Partition witnesses in 2009. It was a deeply enriching experience and she wanted to share it with everyone. She was also troubled with the realization that the generation of eye witnesses was nearly gone and taking their stories with them. This led to the concept of crowdsourcing oral histories of Partition, there by engaging the public in recording the people's history of the world's largest mass human displacement. In 2011 The 1947 Partition Archive was born. She has personally interviewed over 100 Partition survivors, rallied volunteers from all walks of life and built the grassroots foundations of this people-powered organization.

Hans Reisgies - SVP, Market Development, Sequent


Hans Reisgies is a Founder and SVP of Market Development at Sequent. Hans is a widely known evangelist for mobile payments and an established thought leader and a trusted advisor to banks, merchants, carriers, and other players in the mobile commerce value chain. Hans was instrumental in launching commercial mobile payments programs involving American Express, Bank of America, Blackberry, BART, Citi, CIBC, Cubic, Discover, MasterCard, Motorola, Nokia, Rogers Wireless, Samsung, Sberbank, Visa, amongst others. Previous to Sequent, Hans led mobile business development at ViVOtech from 2005-2010 and has been active in the NFC Forum and Global Platform standards bodies. An electrical engineer by training, Hans was previously the business development and sales manager for IXI Mobile and Texas Instruments. Hans’ specialization in mobile payments has yield more than a dozen patents filed and granted.

Hasnain Zaidi - Founder & COO, Tava Indian Kitchen


Hasnain is the Founder and COO of Tava Indian Kitchen, a Bay Area restaurant concept committed to delicious food made responsibly and served beautifully. Tava has opened 3 locations in the last 3 years and is continuing to grow quickly.

Prior to starting Tava, he was a Management Consultant at Bain & Company where he was focused on semiconductor manufacturing and financial services. In 2012, he left to pursue the dream of building something a little more off the beaten path.

In addition to his work at Tava, Hasnain and his wife, Saira, are co-founders of a charitable organization called Hope For Bliss that helps low income young couples in the developing world have a beautiful wedding without the crippling debt that often goes with it.

Hasnain graduated from Duke University in 2008 with a degree in Public Policy and he currently serves on the Board of Advisors for the Duke Islamic Studies Center.

Imran Maskatia - Head of Product, Redbox Instant


Imran Maskatia currently serves as an investor and advisor to startups in the consumer technology and media space. He founded Redbox Instant, a joint venture between Redbox and Verizon, and lead the product management, user experience, and customer support business functions. He led the development of the video backend platform and 18 different client applications, serving subscription and transactional video to millions of customers. Previously, he led software engineering and program management teams at Microsoft, building TV platforms for AT&T, Verizon, Comcast, and other telco and cable companies.

Imran Tusneem - President and Cofounder, Emugu


Imran Tusneem is the president and co-founder of Emugu, the sentiment-based social networking and analytics provider. He has 18+ years of experience in product development and professional services across a diverse span of industries including information technology, environmental science, health care, finance, and social networking. As Director of Engineering at Locus Technologies, he pioneered and developed a cutting-edge ERP platform for environmental information management. He held various positions at Hewlett Packard including Director of Packaged Solutions, Director of Custom Application Development Global Practices, Lead Industry Technologist and Architect for Cloud-based next-generation automation and delivery platform. Imran also worked at Mercury Interactive, which was acquired by HP in 2006. At Mercury, he championed and pioneered cutting-edge solutions in application quality and management automation across different technology stacks. As Director of Solutions Development for Global Practices, he supported both managed SaaS-based and on-premise products and solutions.

Jaffer Hussain - Founder & CEO, Augurent


Jaffer Hussain is founder and CEO at Augurent, a startup in the battery management systems space. He has over twenty years of experience in entrepreneurial and senior management roles in the software and high technology sectors. Jaffer has founded two startups and been an active advisor to startups, growth-stage technology companies, and venture firms. As an executive consultant at NASA, Jaffer focused on public-private partnerships and venture capital initiatives, helping connect the agency with innovative companies, universities, and venture capital firms. Earlier in his career he was in various leadership roles in the software and semiconductor sectors. As VP of SiVision Marketing at LogicVision, he focused on yield analytics software. As VP of Marketing and International Sales at B-Tree Systems, he drove the diversification of the company’s embedded systems product line into new markets and geographies. Jayram Bhatt - Partner, Shasta Ventures


Jayaram has spent the last 30 years in software. Founding, building and growing enterprise software companies have been his passion. Jayaram currently serves on the board of Crittercism and advises CEOs of CloudPassage and Resilinc.

Most recently Jayaram was the founding CEO of Zenprise which was acquired by Citrix in 2013. Between 1993 and 2001 as the first CMO of Mercury Interactive, he helped to drive it to a dominant market position, IPO, explosive growth and a market cap in excess of $10Billion. John McDonnell - Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer, Bitnet


John McDonnell is a seasoned FinTech executive with 20+ years of experience managing cutting-edge payment technology companies. Prior to founding Bitnet, John served as Senior Vice President for Visa and Head of Business Development for CyberSource, a global provider of electronic payment processing and security solutions for eCommerce and POS merchants that was acquired by Visa in 2010. Previously, John served as Executive Vice President - Chief Strategy Officer, General Counsel and a member of the board of directors of TNS, a global provider of business-critical communications services to card processing, financial services and telecommunications industries. John was head of business development at Paymo (now BOKU), where he helped to build a mobile payments network that enabled over 1.5 billion consumers to pay by mobile phone. Khaled Hussein - Co-Founder & CTO, Tilt


Khaled saw a computer for the first time when he was 18 years old in Alexandria, Egypt and has been hooked ever since. He studied Computer Science and Human Computer Interaction at Virginia Tech, and went on to lead Rackspace's corporate strategy.

In 2012, Khaled co-founded Tilt, a platform that offers people a free, easy and highly social way collect, fundraise or pool money with their groups. Since then, over 300,000 groups have used Tilt to turn their ideas, large and small, into reality. Tilt has also built out tools for businesses to run their own branded crowdfunding campaigns, which have been used by brands including ESPN and Dick's Sporting Goods.

Margret Schmidt - Vice President of Design & Engineering, Chief Design Officer, TiVo


Margret Schmidt is TiVo's Chief Design Officer, and Vice President of Design & Engineering. She is responsible for the design and development of all domestic and international TiVo products, including DVR and set-top box software, and iOS, Android, and Web apps. Margret is an invited speaker on design and innovation, including SXSW, CES, The TV of Tomorrow Show, Lead On CA, and U.C. Berkeley.

Michael Goguen - Managing Partner, Sequoia Capital


Starting in 1996, Michael has held various positions at Sequoia Capital, a venture capital firm, and has been a general partner since 1997. Before joining Sequoia Capital, Mr. Goguen spent ten years in various engineering, research and product management roles at Digital Equipment Corporation, a networked business solutions company; SynOptics and network management products company; and Centillion Networks, Inc., a switching products company, and was a director of engineering at Bay Networks, Inc., a data networking products company. Moazzam Chaudry - ‎Director Product Management, Oracle Corporation


Moazzam currently heads an enterprise product line and go-to-market strategy for Fusion Middleware Cloud offerings at Oracle Corporation. Prior to Oracle Moazzam was heading a mid to high end enterprise server product line at Sun Microsystems. In this capacity he was responsible for both inbound, outbound product management & marketing and had world wide launch responsibilities for the multi billion dollar product line. Mohammad Khan - Entrepreneur, Board Member SimplyTapp


Mohammad Khan is a recognized leader in the payment industry. Khan co-founded NFC industry pioneer ViVOtech in 2001. As its President and board member over 11 years, Khan evangelized the contactless-NFC technology in the payment industry, and paved the road for mobile payments like Apple Pay & Google Wallet by deploying first million NFC readers at branded merchants in 35 countries. ViVOtech also developed mobile wallet and card provisioning infrastructure software that was used for multiple mobile payment and marketing field trials by leading ecosystem players globally. Prior to starting ViVOtech, Khan spent 15 years at VeriFone joining in its early stage in 1983 where he worked in various management roles including the head of International products during VeriFone expansion from US only to 90 plus countries. Khan was also co-founder of the Internet Commerce division for VeriFone, a primary driver of company’s acquisition by HP for $1.2 billion in 1997.

Mohammad Khan has been recognized as a “Mover and Shaker” and “Leader” of the Electronic Payments Industry, and has been quoted in more than 100 publications and newspapers worldwide during last decade. Khan also received outstanding smart card achievement (OSCA) award from Smart Card Alliance. Khan has been granted with more than 22 US patents in payments, and is listed in additional 20 US patent applications pending. Khan is currently a board member for SimplyTapp, and a board advisor for Poynt, Paycons, and another undisclosed public company. Khan is also co-founder and board member of two stealth startups in payments to be announced later this year.

Naeem Zafar - Entrepreneur, Prof. Haas Business School

Naeem is a faculty member at the University of California Berkeley, Center of Entrepreneurship and Technology and the Professor of the Practice at Brown University.  He teaches courses in Entrepreneurship, Technology Strategy and New Venture Finance at Brown and Berkeley.  He started teaching at the Haas Business School in 2005. He is also a serial entrepreneur and he co-founded and served as the CEO of Bitzer Mobile, an enterprise security and mobility company that was acquired by Oracle in November 2013. He now is the CEO and co-founder of Adolene, Inc. a company creating solution for the Internet of Things.

Naeem started his own business at the age of 26 and subsequently went on to start, or work at, six startups. His first job out of Brown University with a degree in electrical engineering was to design chips and electronic systems.  Twenty years, two kids, one IPO and three CEO stints later, he founded Startup-Advisor, a company focused on educating and advising entrepreneurs on all aspects of starting and running a business ( ).

Naeem works frequently with the US State Department in promoting innovation and entrepreneurship across the world and was invited to the Presidential Summit on Entrepreneurship in Washington, DC to participate in a dialogue about starting an entrepreneurial ecosystem worldwide.   He is on the International advisory board for the North African initiative at the Aspen Institute. Nauman Sheikh - Founder & CEO, ASRYM Inc.


Nauman Sheikh is a veteran of all things DATA who has built dozens of large scale operational, data warehouse and analytics systems over the last 20 years. He has worked in three continents solving business challenges in consumer credit, risk, fraud and direct marketing areas dealing with a variety of cultural, technological and legal challenges surrounding data and its use. He is a hands-on practitioner with skills ranging from data warehousing to predictive modeling to analytics driven decision automation and routinely deals with demonstrating value from analytics investment to C-Level executives. He is currently working on a large IoT analytics project involving 10 million Smart Meters. He is the author of Implementing Analytics: A Blueprint for Design, Development & Adoption published by Morgan Kaufmann 2013.

Osama Bedier - Founder and CEO, Poynt


Osama Bedier is the founder and CEO of Poynt, the creator of the world’s first smart payment terminal. An Egyptian-American entrepreneur and investor with a deep passion for improving lives through technology, Osama has spent the last two decades pioneering consumer internet, e-commerce and payments services. Prior to founding Poynt, Osama served as the Vice President of Payments at Google and head of Google Wallet. Prior to Google, Osama spent nine years running product and engineering at PayPal, building and scaling much of what made them a household name. He has also held engineering leadership roles at eBay, Gateway Computers and AT&T Wireless. Osama actively invests and advises many fintech start-ups mainly through NYCA partners. In addition, he currently sits on the boards of QIWI (QIWI:NASDAQ), WePay and PayRange. He lives with his wife Nancy and their five children in Atherton, CA.

Osman Rashid - Founder & CEO, Galxyz


Osman Rashid is a seasoned entrepreneur in the field of educational technology. He is currently the Founder & CEO of Galxyz, an intergalactic adventure that gets kids into science. Galxyz's mission to ignite the fascination of science and unlock the true potential in every student. Previously, he was the Co-Founder and CEO of Chegg, the student hub and online textbook rental leader (NYSE:CHGG) until early 2010, and also Co-Founder and CEO of Kno, Inc. (acquired by Intel in 2013), a digital education platform company.

Osman has received several honors, including Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of The Year Award (CA) in 2009, which is the world’s most prestigious business award for entrepreneurs, as well as Forbes Impact 15 for 2012 and Inc.’s Immigrant Edge: 9 Wildly Successful Entrepreneurs. He is on the Board of Trustees of a health-focused non-profit organization, ChildLife Foundation.

Owais Anjum - Founder Cricout, CEO eMumba, President OPEN Islamabad


Owais is the CEO of eMumba and president OPEN Islamabad. He is also the founder of Cricout – the first ever social network for cricket that boasts over 120,000 users across the world. A Silicon Valley veteran, Owais has over 17 years experience in product design, technology management and leadership. He has built and scaled teams both in the US and in Pakistan and has a track record of delivering high quality products. His last stint with Numetrics as Managing Director involved initiating company’s operations in Pakistan and scaling it to 40 people that powered 90% of company’s global engineering needs. He is a very active member of the Islamabad entrepreneurial circle and was instrumental in setting up OPEN’s chapter in Islamabad. Owais has an undergrad in CS from GIK Institute (1997), and an MBA from San Jose State University (2005).

Paawan Kothari - Founder & CEO, The Chai Cart


Paawan is a seasoned hi-tech marketer and strategist and has worked over 10 years in the Silicon Valley for large technology corporations and start-ups. She has a computer science engineering degree from USC and a MBA from INSEAD.

In 2009, pulling a bicycle trailer, Paawan started her venture, The Chai Cart, as an informal food cart to serve homemade chai. In 2010, she finally quit her corporate job to bring together her passion for artisan foods and her desire to be an entrepreneur. Paawan has managed to byild a unique food business from concept to $300K+ revenueand has established direct retail distribution at gourmet grocery stores like Whole Foods Market and acquired corporate clients like Google, Twitter, and Gap.

Patricia Suflita Wilson - Executive Director/CEO


Inspired by her role as a new mom, Patricia made the switch to work in the nonprofit industry in 1987. She is currently the CEO of Make-A-Wish Greater Bay Area and is responsible for leading the overall direction of the organization. As one of the largest chapters nationwide, the Greater Bay Area chapter grants over 340 wishes per year for children in northern California. Patricia took her most rewarding role to date in 1998 when the organization had 4 employees and a $1.6 million budget. Today she manages a staff of 28, 550+ volunteers and a budget of nearly $8 million.

Prior to joining Make-A-Wish in 1998, Patricia held leadership roles at WHRO and KQED, the 5th largest public broadcaster nationally. Following this, she helped produce several public broadcasting shows and provided marketing and fundraising consulting for nonprofit clients, including The Yosemite Fund and the National Inventors Hall of Fame, before serving as the Executive Director of the Coyote Point Environmental Museum.

Patricia resides in San Francisco. She is a volunteer urban forester, serves on the Board of Directors of Friends of the Urban Forest and serves on the Board of her neighborhood improvement association. She is frequently sought out as an inspirational speaker and to advise on matters of philanthropy, social media, public relations, board development and leadership. More recently her speaking requests have focused on sharing her experience of turning San Francisco into Gotham City.

Riaz Karamali - Partner, Pillsbury Law Firm


Riaz Karamali is a partner in the Palo Alto office of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP. Riaz has worked with hundreds of emerging companies, guiding them from their pre-founding stages through their angel and venture capital financing rounds, significant commercial contracts and strategic alliances to their ultimate exit transactions. He acts as outside general counsel to many companies in the digital media and videogame sectors. Riaz received his JD from Columbia University School of Law, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, and his BA from Rice University where he achieved a triple major in Economics, English Literature and Political Science.Pillsbury is a full-service law firm with an industry focus on energy & natural resources, financial services including financial institutions, real estate & construction, and technology. Rucha Humnabadkar - Filmmaker: For Here Or To Go?


Rucha Humnabadkar is known for her work with acclaimed Indian filmmaker Nagesh Kukunoor. As Assistant Director and Art Director she was instrumental in delivering indie hits such as Hyderabad Blues, Rockford and Bollywood Calling. Her first feature film, For Here or To Go? had a world premiere in February 2015 at Cinequest Film Festival in San Jose. The film also premiered at IFFSA Toronto, the largest South Asian festival in North America.

For Here Or To Go? Is a contemporary comedy/drama about the trials and tribulations of an Indian technology entrepreneur, Vivek Pandit in the Silicon Valley, California. As Viviek’s visa is coming to an end, he is caught between fighting to keep everything he’s worked for here, or start from scratch and return to his home country - Trailer.

Rucha has a Masters in Design from Carnegie Mellon University. She focuses on leveraging the power of design, consumer insights, product strategy, and technology to create delightful and innovative user experiences for mobile and web. Rucha has over 10 years of experience designing, defining, and building consumer products at several of the best technology and internet companies. ; eBay, StubHub, Task Rabbit, Relay Rides, Chegg, Red Laser, One King's Lane and Intuit among others.

Sean Flynn - Managing Director, Shasta Ventures


Sean invests in mobile-enabled consumer Internet and enterprise software companies. He looks to partner with entrepreneurs who have a passion for pixel-perfect products and magical customer experiences. His aim is to become an entrepreneur’s trusted advisor; not to run the company, but rather to provide a thoughtful and balanced perspective for all of the important decisions they face. He currently serves on the board of directors for secure enterprise messaging company TigerText, mobile digital archive Timehop, as well as video rights and marketing company ZEFR, the online learning bootcamp Bloc, and payments and analytics company Swipely. He also led the firm’s investments in the anonymous social network Whisper, Dollar Shave Club and Simple (acquired by BBVA).

Sean joined Shasta after working at Yahoo!, most recently as a senior director of business development and business operations, where he focused on growing the company's communication and community products such as Yahoo! Mail, Messenger, Groups and Flickr. Previously he launched Yahoo's premium voice services as a product manager. Prior to Yahoo, Sean was an investment banker at Morgan Stanley, where he advised technology, telecom and media companies in New York and Singapore.

Sean holds a BA in economics from Brown University. Outside of working with great entrepreneurs, he has a passion for skiing, traveling to faraway places, and getting outdoors with his wife and two young daughters.

Shayan Habib - Partner, Ideavelopers (early stage VC fund)


Shayan is an early stage VC at Ideavelopers. He is responsible for sourcing and evaluating new venture capital investment opportunities in early stage technology companies, conducting valuation exercises, and structuring and negotiating transaction terms and conditions, including managing legal documentation and due diligence and leading M&A transactions to exit opportunities or for growth of portfolio companies. Shayan provides active and on-going support to portfolio companies including developing operational structures, management of key personal, business development, financial management and planning, and business strategy for growth, product differentiation, and pricing. He holds a B.A. in Economics and Mathematics from UPenn.

Shoieb Yunus - Serial Entrepreneur


Shoieb Yunus is a charter member of OPEN SV. At OPEN SV, Shoieb leads the LaunchPad program designed to bridge the gap between the entrepreneurs and the investors. Shoieb is an entrepreneur, seasoned product professional and an indie filmmaker. He has an impressive record of developing and managing products, revenue growth, user acquisition and growth hacking and played leadership and critical roles at industry leaders and early stage startups across Machine Learning, SaaS, Digital Video, Social Networking, Mobile Apps, Embedded Systems, Sensors (MEMS, biometrics, authentication) and Data Fusion. AuthenTec, now Apple, acquired Shoieb's first startup EzValidation, a fingerprint authentication software company. He is a pioneer in delivering first cloud-based, simple 'live' video streaming app on Facebook. Currently, Shoieb is building a Job-to-Candidate Search and Ranking System using Machine Learning and Semantic Search for the enterprise. He earned BS in Computer Science from the University of Kentucky.

Will Bunker - Partner, Silicon Valley Growth Syndicate

Zulki Khan - Founder & Chairman, NexLogic Technologies, Inc


Zulki Khan is Founder and Chairman of NexLogic Technologies, Inc ( in San Jose, CA, a hardware design and manufacturing company with customers like Apple, Google, Facebook, IBM, Intel, Philips, Cisco and NASA, among many others.

Prior to NexLogic, he was General Manager for Imagineering, Inc., Schaumburg, IL, where be managed a $40 Million SBU. He holds BSEE from NED University, Karachi and MBA from University of Iowa and is a frequent author, panelist and has contributed over 30 technical publications and white papers in the magazines and journals worldwide.

Zulki is also an active angel investor with a portfolio including companies in crypto currency, hardware design, consumer gadgets, and real estate arena. He also serves on the board of startup companies and is advisor to hardware based companies in consumer application and wearable devices space. Zulki is an active member on angel investor forums like Keiretsu Forum,Bootstrap Labs and Y Combinator as a panelist, speaker, and investor.
